Busy cafe and coffee roaster in St Albans Road Watford. The coffee was very smooth and tasty, and tasting notes are provided for all the different blends. Good selection of hot and cold sandwiches, cakes and pastries. There are approximately 8 different blends of coffee you can buy in bean or ground, in 250g, 500g and 1kg sizes, and some are organic. Coffee comes with a "roasted on" date, which in my case was the day before. I bought 250g of organic Columbian, and 250g of house blend.
Really nice local coffee shop. There is a nice blend of coffees.We ordered the toast with scrambled eggs and salmon. It was made well and it was a good portion size.The only annoyance is parking as this is not a high street shop, bit you need to go there or park near there.The owners have done a great job.
Lovely, warm little coffee shop serving a great selection of coffees and teas. They also do a wide range of food, however, I have not eaten there. Owner was very accommodating with my pushchair and made us all feel very welcome.
Basically this place is set up because the owner loves coffee, not people. Ive tried to give this place a chance a few times, but ultimately Im going to continue going to the other cafes in the area which, have less good coffee, but WAY a better atmosphere and experience.Pros - good coffee, wide range of serving methods, polite staff, modern decor. For example- if you order an espresso to stay- you will get a small water with your coffee. Order a pour over- they will take time to get it right. These are important details which have clearly been properly though about.Cons - a bit pricey, cash only less than 5, inflexibility with music volume, poor food options (minimal dietary consideration), uncomfortable seating, minimal access/space (not convenient for older or disabled customers).
Lovely little shop with delicious food and tasty coffee. Very friendly staff and recommend a visit if in the area. If not, next best thing is to order some of their coffee beans!
