They want 30 for a doctor to write a brief note to say Ive never been mental and that Im not an alcoholic (no previous medical history). Their booking system is also very flawed with a stupid process which means you must call after 8am for an appointment in 2 weeks time. And of course the stereotypical rude receptionist which comes with most surgeries. AVOIDUpdate from recent visits - still rude and for the second time I am an hour delayed due to lack of doctors and overrunning appointments.
I tried to book a non urgent appointment today and failed. I was meet with a defensive then condicending receptionist who was just rude and made me feel like I was wasting her time. When I asked if I could see my GP, she basically laughed and told me that i could only book an appointment by phoning first thing in the morning and that I had to wait till next week for his bookings to open. If I wanted to see someone, I had to come to the surgery first thing in the morning and just wait. Awful, just awful. This is not a one off experience, this has happened to me before at this surgery. I would not recommend them at all. So much for us working folk being told to access primary care... the system seems very broken and unhelpful at Suthergrey surgery. My doctor is nice, just impossible to see him. I am now using the online Babylon app... sure, I have to pay a little, but my treatment was amazing and I had my prescription drug within the hour.
The managment at the office is the worst ever as ladies behind the desk can't do simple thing and the worst thing is that they are Liers!!! Can't call as lines are busy all the time.... waist so many hours dealing with those ladies. Although doctors are fine
I could hardly ever get an appointment. Staff werenot helpful at all. Recently moved to Elms Surgery where doctors and staff are much more helpful in arranging an appointment.
I can NEVER get an appointment here I work full time and only day off is a Monday. Just not helpful and never offer a solution for getting an appointment. Ive turned up 8:30am to get a walk in appointment from sitting and waiting and receptionist has said I am not here early enough. I had been trying to call since 8amBut can never get through. Really disappointing as I never need an appointment its regarding my medication. Only 3 people in the waiting room so hardly busy. Doctors themselves are always pleasant and know what they are talking about. The receptionists and appointment system lets this place down
