Pay more for a pint but one of the better places on the high street for over 30's

I have come to update my review. Since leaving my last review (see below) much has changed. Although it is still above average cost it is now being run in a way that makes every penny spent here worth it. A large group of us has just had a beautiful Christmas dinner here and it couldn't have been better. The food was sublime, beef fell off of the bone, staff were happy and helpful. The table gave a rousing round of applause to the staff and chef who really pulled this event out of the bag. I couldn't be more proud of the team that has worked hard to remedy all previous issues. Well done and keep up the good work. Previous review ( I am so ashamed to have ever recommend this bar. If I could give no stars I would. Please lower your prices and at very least deliver the minimum service of clearing a table of glasses and plates.)
Brilliant atmosphere, great food and very friendly staff. Not the cheapest of establishments but well worth a visit.
Six of us went to Bar Bodega for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. We had three lots of 18 tapas followed by the sweet and cheese sharing plates. All very good. The atmosphere is top rate including the candle wax on the fireplace; 14 years build up! Definitely worth a visit if you are in or near Watford.
