Had been coming here occasionally to watch football since it opened but after an evening out here I wont be returning. Came here for a few drinks on a Thursday night. As I arrived the door staff briefly paused there conversation about what the latest strains of haze (cannabis) theyd been smoking to check my ID before swiftly continuing where they left off. Ordered a large pitcher of Long Island iced tea to share with my friend. Was genuinely the worst tasting cocktail Ive ever had, tasting mainly of lime cordial with a splash of coke. Had 3 glasses between us with the childrens sized tumblers they supplied us before joining my friend outside for a cigarette. When we got back 5 minutes later, our half full pitcher and all our half full tumblers were gone. I understand pubs have to clear tables quickly at times but the place was empty, there were maybe 15-20 other people there and wed only bought the pitcher 20 minutes before. I asked the lady who seemed to be the manager about it and she was very quick to aggressively shout me down and tell me it was empty. I quickly retreated, not wanting to have a shouting match over a horrible drink and went to Colombia press across the road for a decent drink with better service.
Middle of the range bar in watford. Decent standards drinks and food. Think it's part of Whetherspoons chain so a similar affordable pricing structure. Always good to start your night here and work ya way up the high street which is full of other bars.
Cocktails are bit pricey but if you get 2 for 1 then its a good deal... Got mozzarella sticks, chicken tikka bites n breaded mushrooms all were great.. ambiance was good n they have outdoor seating as well.
Went here for a cocktail making class for my hen and we had such a good time! The bar man Michael was really food with a bunch of drunk hens! They provided a lot of information about the cocktails we made and the staff were friendly too. Its a nice vibe in there and food range of pub food. They had 2 for 1 on cocktails all night as well! Really enjoyed it!
